“This is not a brand”: why I chose this funny name

When I was little, I was already selling dreams (or foie gras, it’s the same thing)
I fell into marketing when I was little. Literally. At five years old, while other children spent their holidays playing or watching cartoons, I was begging my mother to take me with her… to client meetings.
My mother was a real business leader, even if she didn't define herself as such. She made local products in Mauritius: foie gras, duck pâté, ham... In short, the whole package for a successful aperitif. She sold it to hotels, in B2B, and I found it fascinating.
Those moments planted a seed: I understood that behind every sale, there was a human connection , a story, and a good dose of emotion. Today, this is what still inspires me in my job. ❤️
Why "This is not a brand"? (spoiler: it's not just for show)
I have been working in digital marketing for three years now, and with every project, I realize that human connection always lies at the heart of successful strategies. This conviction is what gave birth to 'This is not a brand.'
It embodies a true philosophy: we live in a world that is becoming a bit too cold, too 'robotized' with AI and automated tools. I wanted to return to the essentials.
Remember that a brand is not just a logo or a well-optimized LinkedIn page.

What drives me is seeing my clients succeed. When I generate a highly qualified lead for a client, it feels like finishing an intense workout where I gave it my all. You know that moment when you’re exhausted but so proud of yourself? That’s exactly how I feel.
One of my favorite projects? Helping a B2B client in an ultra-niche market (you know, the kind where finding even one interested person feels like a miracle). The goal was to land massive contracts using LinkedIn. Let’s just say it was a mission impossible. But guess what? Challenge accepted. ✅
